Yes.. you can, but will it work.
    I don’t know.
I would think the hot sauce would be too diluted.

    What kind of animals?

I’ve seen this product, but don’t know how effective it is. I believe it uses capsiacin (sp) which is the active (hot) ingredient in peppers.

Ingredients: Oil of Black Pepper, Piperin, Capsaincin and Related Capsaicinoids

i wouldn’t use hot sauce. you can usually get habenero peppers from the local grocery store(little bright orange things) try boiling and pureeing those and spraying it around. probably work better than any hot sauce, and their rather inexpensive

You can, and it works just fine. But I’ve found that works better for indoor plants. With outdoor plants, the weather will just wear away your remedy.

I had a lot of trouble with cats digging up my gardens. Finally, I had a big bottle of cayenne powder. I sprinkled it generously around the plants and the cats have not been back! Don’t know what kind of animals you’re having problems with, but that’s worth a try.

Also, you can buy animal repellent at your local nursery that will target more specific animals.

Yes, and it works quite well. Add a couple drops of vegetable oil and it will stick even better.

I used this same technique to keep a teething puppy from eating her doghouse. Silly puppy!
