I was actually joking when I compared the Muppets to Cronenberg. Like I said, my kid loves the Muppets (she calls them “Pigs!”) and seems to have no nightmares. She also likes Tom and Jerry cartoons, which are even more violent. But the one time she glimpsed live-action TV violence (the Doctor Who christmas special) she got scared and then bored.
